And it's not even close...

Every rookie card, jerseys, autographed bat, autographed game ball from the '94 All-Star Game, and all kinds of other ****... yeah, a little overboard.

Hands down, no question about it -- he was "The Man" when I was growing up. Not to mention I was a huge Reds fan during the glory days.<div>

As an 11 year old, there was nothing better than having the summers off from school and watching a White Sox game on WGN, waiting for Thomas to come up to bat. He could mash.

I still feel like a kid after reading some of these names. The guy I was named after made the list (George Brett). Which was my mom's favorite player.

I always was impressed with the fact that he could pitch and hit.

I've also always admired Sandy Koufax for the way that he carried himself and stood up for his beliefs.

As far as actively playing, I would say Mark McGwire.

And for the record, shop.mlb.com won't let you customize a Giants jersey t-shirt with Clark and #22 on the back. Bastards.

My dad taught both when they were here, I was around 8-9 and they had dinner with us a few times and I got to pitch with Paul and hit with Jon at the batting cages under Dudy Noble. Those two were Gods at the time.
