May CC hit 350 on the scales and 5.50 on the ERA.
May ARoid's hip give him a Fred Sanford gait.
May Joba go the way of Brien Taylor.
May Teixiera wilt under the pressure of the NY media.
May the new Yankees get so tired hearing about the "real Yankees" that the clubhouse fractures.

Other than that, have a great year!

Braves looked good last night, especially Derek Lowe. Solid early season victory.

Yeah they did. Lowe will end up being a hell of a pick up for them. I think they were smart letting Smoltz walk and snatching up Lowe

Lonely day in Beantown. I'd give anything to see an opening day there with my sox.

I've always heard Wrigley's opening day is great, anyone ever been?

Closer gives up 4 in the ninth get a notch in the blown save category early. That Dave Duncan pitch to contact approach really works in the late innings.

Has learned the hard way that the regular season is MUCH different than spring training. We'll see how he comes back next time. If he keeps blowing saves, LaRussa is not going to give a rookie a long leash.

Doesn't matter. The next poor sap will have to adhere to Duncan's pitch to contact philosophy and get his brains beat out, too.

Would you be saying that about Smoltz if he had gone anywhere but Boston or saying that about Lowe if he was still with Boston for that matter?

The Cards will be lucky to win 75 games.
Nice call Nostradamus...obviously all you are good for is posting pictures of hottubs and ****** one-liners

Normally I would say that's lame, but since it's Blue, I say - well done.

He's probably too busy stalking Rick Pitino to respond, however.

Here's hoping for another playoff implosion in the Bronx.

These playoffs are about to suck. Hate the Yankees. I'm over the Sox. Tigers - meh. Angels are OK but just another big market team throwing money around. Hate the Cardinals. Hate the Dodgers. Hate the Braves. Phillies are tolerable. Rockies - meh.

Go Phillies. I guess.

Yeah bcause the Cubs never throw money around. It isn't like they have one of the highest payrolls in the game or anything

I just like their approach to the game. Rollins, Utley, Howard, Victorino and Werth are likeable players. I actually dislike the Braves less now that I did in the 90s. Most of the insufferable bandwagoners have fallen off so it's not as hard to handle.
