I wasn’t sure which thread to put this one in and felt this one was the most appropriate…… What the hell is this guy (Kramer guy) smoking????

Look at team #20 on this list…

I posted the AP poll in the college games thread. Any news/notes/stats/interesting stuff in CFB I throw in that thread as a catch all. Anyone else can put stuff in too.

The second guy just seems like a random Nebraska fan not an AP voter.

I saw in the comments he ranks based on current season results and who they played. He doesn't rank based on pre-season. Syracuse is 4-0 so it fits his narrative. Don't take his rankings serious.

Lanning is one of the most aggressive coaches in CFB IMO and going for 2s or 4th downs had nothing to do with Deion. The TT coach is probably the only one that's probably on par. Good comments by Lanning though. He's also basically saying what I mentioned, using Deion's spotlight to help his program.

ha
tell you what, Oregon would have dropped 100 on us yesterday. Oregon is scary good

I’ll tell you what - every game is different, so I won’t argue this couldn’t be true on a given day. It’s far from a given though.

On another day a few weeks ago, it was Oregon 38 - TT 30. That’s a TT team that is yet to record an FBS win and lost to Wyoming. At this point, it’d be hard to argue that TT has a definitively better team than RU. On a given day, we might give Oregon a game. Oregon’s D isn’t as good as Michigan’s.

And I agree we did look better. That being said we were one play from being shut out again. That is unacceptable.

While perhaps literally true, the way your framing this is unfair to our offense. Makes it seem like they completely shut us down outside of one big play. It’s not true.

We drove the ball inside of Michigan’s 30 three additional times besides the TD run. We could’ve certainly punched through a FG from the 19 if we wanted to and it’s unlikely we would’ve missed twice from 45 and 46 on the other drives had we elected to kick. On the road in a pressure spot, we came up short trying to execute 4th downs multiple times. But if anything - the opposite of what your implying is true. We only punted 3 times in the whole game (twice after crushing blows - the series after the pick 6 and on the drive with the BS holding call backing us up deep in our own territory). For the most part, we were able to move the ball ok against a really good Michigan front.

You can tell us that but it doesn’t make it true.
Is this really such a stretch? We've literally seen Greg Schiano get blown out 80-7.. If WVU can score 80 pts on Greg, then Oregon could put up an insane number too, if motivated

An RU team in his first year of coaching that would have struggled with Wagner. Are you seriously equating the 2001 team to 2023's?

Oregon would light us up like there is no tomorrow as would Udub, WSU, OSU and USC. We do not match up with those teams at all

A couple of weeks after Eric LeGrande suffered his injury. I think Greg might not have been fully concentrating on the game as he was spending time at HUMC every day. They did score 38, however.
How about the year before, in '09.. Cincy ripped Greg for 45pts in 3 quarters. If they didn't mercy bench the starters - they would have easily scored 60+ on Greg.. Schiano couldn't stop them no matter what
