Per twitter, a whopping 10% of pink revenue gets to the American Cancer Society.

But I appreciate the awareness that is probably saving lives. I still think pink for 30% of the football season is too much.

Always good to follow the money

Also, never market anything as "for the cure" or Susan G. Coleman will sue your *** into the ground.

Yeah! I know someone who has said that they were going to start a 501-C4 and make pink cup cakes and sell them for $10 a piece, just to raise awareness.

Depends on which organization you are referring to. "pink" isn't just one foundation, and the American Cancer Society is not necessarily the best place for funding to go. I think the pink is silly, but you're vast oversimplification is a little too much. Like 82% of money raised by Komen went to actual breast cancer uses. Some charities give to funds for surviving, and families of people with cancer, and that number definitely wouldn't make it to the American Cancer society. In fact, the American Cancer Society only spends 70 cents for every dollar they take in on their mission.

Also, this is a problem for ALL charities. Sadly, I actually check this http://www.charitynavigator.org/ site sometimes before giving. The Cancer Survivor's Fund gives only 7.4 cents per dollar to their actual efforts. That's criminal.

PS... I'm calling for November to be prostate awareness month. Everyone can wear brown.

And then the American Cancer Society uses 20% of that to pay its general, administrative and fundraising expenses. So 8% actually goes to cancer programs.

and Komen isn't being mentioned that much this year anyway, at least not as much as in recent years. I think a lot have moved on to other charities.

Plus, everyone knows that more boobies is a good thing.

Too much attention to pink in college athletics. Players need to let people know that green is the color of Mental Health Awareness.

Here's a good example...

Welcome to the Halo/XboxOne/PS4 generation fellas. Expect to see many crazy "skins" just like your popular video games. The crazier the better they sell. With the visors on the helmets they already look very similar. Soon we'll see an all-pink jersey complete from head to toe. I could see MSU wearing the all pink tops vs Kentucky at home on Thursday night on ESPN.

Thanks to all the pink, I am more aware of breast cancer than I have been aware of anything in my entire life.
