Is there some back story I'm not aware of here? Games shouldn't be this testy in the first week of May.

Machado about a week or so ago slid into second base and spiked Pedroia. The next day Boston threw at Machado's head and actually hit his bat. They never actually hit him. They keep throwing at or around him but arent actually hitting him yet. Its really this unwritten rule nonsense that seems to be fueling the aggression

Machado with a questionable slide into Pedroia .. and it was on

happened in Boston .. happened to be a Latin player who injured a beloved RedSox player ... a team (Boston) with the highest % of redasses in the league and Pedroia is the biggest redass of all ... tinderbox

Ahhh, thank you. You have to love the unwritten rules of baseball!!!! Honestly, whatever started it all, it made the game(s) way more interesting. So I'm good with it in this case.

Machado still was in beast mode, hitting some bombs after some attempts to hit him. Then Balt pitcher hit Betts I believe and got tossed. It was a curveball which is never intentional

Man... even the Cardinals are like "guys, stop looking for reasons to be offended". Or not, no Cardinal has ever stopped looking for a reason to be offended.

Erstad was a famed redass in the pro's. I wish we had a team full of that.
