I hope he makes some major improvements between now and next year. He has not improved one little bit all year.

He's got loads of potential, you can just look at him and tell. He just needs to bring it all together. He looks like ... a freshman.

that is the only way he will stop playing tentative. He looks like a freshman because he is and is not getting the opportunity to play without worrying he will be removed as soon as he screws up. In my opinion, he should be playing the 4 with Jarvis at 5. Phil is being asked to do too much. I would bench Stewart and let him fill the same role he so capably filled as a freshman....coming off the bench as the sixth man. Bost is the man at the point....let Phil play the 2 and Ravern the 3 and do not sub until their tongues are hanging out.</p>

Osby is the best of the three and has tremendous potential and must have playing time so he can relax. BJ tries but just doesn't have a lot to offer; EB is ok in the role of giving JV some rest time.

for not developing Osby and Augustus this season. Let them play so they can better. Nothing beats experience.

We could have easily rotated Phil, Ravern, and Randy at the 2 and 3....making us better at those two spots

What a waste of a season

being worse if we played that lineup. And as I said before, I play for this year, not next. Also, you would be bitching regardless because we would still be losing games.

True. But I say start Osby and Kody the rest of the way. The season is shot, let them get some experience.

First of all, I would love to see any of yall Northface wearing lames play Ro one on one or even try guarding him in the Sanderson.
The kid can play! He got decent handles for a 4, he can hit the 3, and remember he is only a FRESHMAN.
Freshmen make mistakes but you learn from those mistakes by playing, not riding the bench.
Stans should play him more to develop him so he gains experience from this terrible year.
He has tremendous potential and when he averages a double double his junior year I will continue to clown on your retarded comments.

Kodi is the worst scholarship player I have ever seen in my life. Don't play him, let him transfer so we can offer a scholarship to someone else.

I wear Colombia. Get it right, pal.

Also, I don't really see the point of him playing a 6 tall, 35 year old fat and balding guy with a bad knee.

play so that he will get better. Let the best players play regardless of what year they are and I would say he is around the 8-9 best on the team. We have committed to the four guard lineup this year with the 30 threes a game approach. This has not been working the last three games for us but with the entire starting lineup coming back next year we may have figured out how to win with this approach by conference time next year. We really need Stewart to step it up and be a first team All SEC All American type player. When we where good we had that, Austin, Roberts,etc... Varnado is that type of player defensively but we don't have that consistent offensive player. Jamont Gordon was that player also and we are missing him right now.

Is that he obviously plays favorites. I agree with you that Augustus, and Osby for that matter should be playing a LOT more. I agreed with Stans at the time that Kodi should have been benched for his attitude, but my gosh, it shouldn't take one ENTIRE season to punish a guy for smarting off. Give him a chance for God's sake. Especially when other people aren't producing.

And then the hypocritical thing about it is you have Barry Stewart setting the NCAA single season and career record for air balls who keeps trying to create his shot time and time again, and Stansbury just lets it go.

What's going to end up happening is we are going to under develop Osby, and I'm not counting on Kodi coming back, so I won't go there, and then he's going to have to go with the four guard lineup aGAIN.

Can someone send a memo to Stansbury that you can change your starting lineup in season?

And in the heat of the moment I made a mistake but I was also referring to coach's insinuation that the reason we were losing is they didn't play enough. My bad, but we know why they don't play, they aren't ready and if they can't contribute when they do get the chance, then we are better off playing guards who might hit a three pointer. We aren't going to beat anybody shooting 30% or worst.

See, I give Barry Stewart a much shorter leash. He is a junior. Osby and even Augustus haven't played enough minutes to be make the same mistakes that Stewart does. You think it's horrible to talk about Stewart. I think it's horrible to go off on Osby considering this is his first year to play. Yea, he has going to learn as we go but to say the discussion about Stewart's play isn't justified is ludicrous. Once again, you are a hypocrite.

where we should not talk about Stewart's play but it's ok for you to speak of Osby, Augustus, Elgin Bailey, etc is not hypocritical.

When people say Barry's play is ok and I say it isn't, that is my response as well. I just have never said "you will never see me bash a player directly". Because I will because it's part of the game. If you suck during a game, I will say it. Just like I gave Stewart credit for his unbelievable defense in the Kentucky game.

Just admit in your holier than thou attitude you were completely a hypocrite and I will move on.

You are starting to sound like Blue, do you stalk every post. Enough said, I should have never said it. But I can assure you, if we didn't have Stewart, we would be worse off than not having any of this group, they contribute little or nothing. And by the way, Stans is well aware of the problem.

this board has a search feature. I just typed in Dawgbreeze and found all posts where you bashed a player during the basketball season. Took me all of 3 minutes.

Of course, I am going to call your *** out when you try to make yourself sound like you are a better person because you don't talk about players or you said that people who talk about Barry Stewart would not care that a relative of his passed away.

Only "WE" can trash our players.............Reminds me of a scene from "Animal House" when Otter said "They can't treat our pledges like that: only we can treat our pledges like that".........

#19 The SixPack is always right.

Which means moral or absolute right and wrong don't apply and you have to accept that when you play along.

I don't always like it either but it does make for an interesting read.

I don't know about the past, but it sure obvious now and everyone should now know what the rules of the playing field are for certain from this point on.

Play ball.

would have never posted his ridiculous initial post saying that people who don't like Stewart's play would not feel sorrow for him when he lost his grandmother, his PM would have never been posted. When you basically say you will never talk bad about a player on the message board and the very next couple of days, you do that said act, how could I not call that out? I would not be true to the message board admin guide of message boarding. Page 46 says call out hypocrisy especially when you have proof via private message.
