Walkace picked up his scoring today, but I have to disagree with his defense. NO ONE could stay in front of their point guard. And, Oscar was left helping out too many times leaving underneath open. A ZONE would’ve helped if practiced by someone who knew what they were doing.

I was talking more in terms of nowell pressuring Wallace, but yeah Kentucky had a complete team failure guarding nowell

He averaged what like 20/20 in his three tournament games with a 1-2 record.

The problem with Oscar coming back is so is the clown coaching. I no longer trust Cals decision making. He just throws darts at at a roster to decide who plays.

The little guy that no one wanted on the floor would have been a big help to us today. If our guard had been able to create off the dribble, we could have destroyed them inside.

Aren’t you the one that says forcing the ball inside to Oscar is why we can’t win a big game? Who would have been getting those buckets?

I agree wheeler can’t possibly be as bad as anyone who tried to pass the ball to Oscar today. And we desperately needed wheeler to play.

The rotation always should have been whoever is playing well between reeves/wheeler/Frederick gets more time and wheeler backs up Wallace, but that never was the possibility with Cal.

And whether the others in the board wanted him to play or not, there was one man who didn’t want him to play and that was wheeler himself.

Wheeler wasn't physically capable of handling that kid be it full strength or hobbled. He'd have been abused. Offensively he'd have been swallowed up by getting too deep and unable to finish at rim. Best offense in 2nd Half was Wallace going to the rim and he almost single handedly pulled it off. Then Lance Ware's minutes appeared and the Ware experience cost UK 6 pts--4 on defensive end and a blown dunk because he can't simply gather/go up and finish.

This wasn't a team that deserved a run. They got what they deserved and played to all year.

Oscar’s stats in his two tourney loses are 32 & 18 and 25 and 18 today. Man I’m sick for him, he balled out and his teammates failed him(outside of a couple of them)

Too bad his teammates don't give that effort or the coach

I don’t disagree with you completely, I think toppin and reeves are absolutely good enough to play a role at Kentucky.

If they are your bench guys you have a roster definitely able to compete for a title.

However not consistent enough to lead you to one. Also without toppin and reeves Uk Wins 9 games if they are lucky this year so just an overall crap show that was doomed from the beginning it appears.

Agree on Ware 100%. Rest are what a good bench at Kentucky should look like behind more talented starters.
