According to Elway that's just a first move. Even with the pickings being slim, he'll likely find someone better than Sanchez before all is said and done.

Exactly. This is like a kid in the south who commits to the Huskers without so much as a visit. He's just reserving a spot, but has every intention of looking around, and both sides know it will be a battle to get him on campus and eventually sign with the Huskers and both sides are OK with it. Sanchez knows he isn't a top level QB, and the Broncos know they better get somebody in there, so it works for now, but I have my doubts he is their starter in game 1.

About time the Texans got serious about getting a QB. Watt can only carry that team so far without any offense.
I'm not sure this was a good move by the Texans. The Denver defense was so good josh freeman may have looked just as good. I suppose the Texans coaches know what they are doing But I would have preferred a qb in the draft.

IMO, Sanchez will be a better QB in Kubiak's system than he has shown elsewhere. Elway pulls another rabbit out of the hat IMO. In fact, I think he is a really good fit for what Kubiak likes to do. Much better fit than Kap. I will not be surprised to see him start all their games this year barring injury. Sanchez has shown the ability to win despite a less than stellar supporting cast much of the time. Now letting Osweiler walk makes more sense to me. They still need to draft a QB.
