In the 80s I worked with a WWll Pacific Vet. with a couple of purple heart medals. The Jane Fonda workout videos became popular about that time and she was all over the media. If she had come to MS to do a book or video signing there is no doubt in my mind that my 60 something year old ex marine buddy would have made the drive to hock a loogie on her face before he shot her.

We had to travel occasionally for work and nobody would share a room with the guy. He fought those Japs every night in his sleep. The last new guy we got to room with him for one night said he locked himself in the bathroom and slept in the tub. He said he was afraid that crazy SOB was going to slit his throat in the night.

I never knew about Veterans hatred for Fonda, so I looked it up...my god. I dont blame any POW or Vietnam Veteran for hating her guts, some of the things she said were unforgivable. This is pretty telling on how much she is hated

In 2005, Michael A. Smith, a U.S. Navy veteran, was arrested for disorderly conduct in Kansas City, Missouri, after he spat chewing tobacco in Fonda's face during a book-signing event for her autobiography, My Life So Far. He told reporters that he "consider[ed] it a debt of honor" and further stated "she spit in our faces for 37 years. It was absolutely worth it. There are a lot of veterans who would love to do what I did."

People like Jane Fonda are the true American enemies of the state. We can blame other countries, other races, politicians, etc., but it's the self-honoring pricks like her that cause the most discourse, no matter what position they are in. Period.

We know the enemy, and it is us.
