Bones is a class act. He probably moved on.
Agreed. I am sure Bones moved on. I doubt Mickelson has. Doesn't seem like there is much interaction between the groups anyway, but Bones didn't look too thrilled holding the PIN for Mickelson a few holes ago.

Wonder if Phil tried to get some side action from JT 😀

And then he blocked his next drive. Koepka and Hovland battling. Scottie right there. Will be a fun finish.

OMG. Hovland hits into the face of the bunker on 16 like Connors did yesterday. Crazy. I don’t think I have seen that this side of the pond.

Didn’t know that there was no penalty for an imbedded ball in the bunker. I thought Hovland made 7 there.

Congrats to Brooks! 5 majors is a big statement. Congrats also to Hovland. Outside of the bunker shot on 16, he hung in there for a final round in a major finally. I feel better he may get one soon.

Finally Block stole the show. So awesome he hit the putt on 18 and qualified for next year. Fun tournament.

That was never the narrative. LIV was supposed to have ALL the top players. I’m happy for Brooks. He doesn’t push the LIV brand like the rest.

Disagree. Narrative was players went to LIV cause they were washed up and couldn’t win on tour.

Big win for LIV.

A LiV player wins the PGA. So much for the LIV has no one narrative. Lol
good player thrive wherever they play.
But he's not representing a brand, the brand he plays for was overrated because some good players ( like him) are in it but the brand really is filled with once great players that are over the hill now along with some players that might be a name someday.

The PGA lost a little luster because some good players left, but became better because of the over the hill crowed getting big bucks to leave and have the LIV able to tout their name as tour members.
But the over the hill gang never lived up to the expectations the Saudi tour had for them and now the LIV is hurting because their names don't mean as much anymore.

The most outspoken members of LIV are certainly washed up. Cam won a major right before he joined. Not sure how that’s washed up.

Exactly. Liv has some great players. Should get world raking points..and isn’t a tour with washed up players.

All I’m saying

I agree he’s not representing a brand…but I think when a LIV player wins a major tournament the narrative that LIV stinks and doesn’t deserve WGR points is absurd

How is he overrated? Just beat the best pros in the world???
not saying he's overrated nor are all the LIV players over the hill or never wases.
Just saying the LIV tour put itself in a corner by bringing more over the hill and possible has beens as the face of the tour , even though they paid a bunch For real good ones that can win anywhere.
Now it's a big deal when a good LIV players does something because PGA tour players are expected to win.
Remember PGA venues get full coverage while LIV tours have the channel that carries that tour end coverage ,before competition is over, and return to their regularly scheduled program or televise something else besides that tour's finish

Brooks winning today doesn't vindicate the LIV tour, it just shows Brooks is a good player who belongs to a tour that didn't turn out to be as good as it should have been with the money it used to bring in players

Brooks is living the life now. Making massive bank and still winning majors. Great decision heading to LIV.

A great tournament. Great stories. Block and Koepka stole the show and two horrible shots at the same exact place.

Personal opinion. Still think Rahm and Scheffler are top 2 with Brooks at #3 for now.

For me, all this talk about PGA vs LIV is just noise. As a pure golf fan, the majors are great because we get to see all the best players in the world in the same field, and I hope the powers that be figure out a way to get that done more often. Wouldn’t it be great to see as much of the following as possible: Rahm, Scheffler, Koepka, Rory, DJ, JT, Spieth, Cam Smith, Rory, Cantlay, Schauffele, and others.
