Coast Guard markings?

I don’t think there is any fixed wing stuff out of Air Station Atlantic City.
Coast guard helicopter from coast guard station Atlantic City and C130 from coast guard station Elizabeth City NC. Still active. Was at beach within last 15 minutes. The surf is large confused (coming from multiple directions) and waves are breaking into the inlet. This is an extremely difficult operation. Only saw one semi-rigid coast guard boat in the water. Not allowing people close to the inlet so could not see what equipment was within the inlet.

Swimming is prohibited in OC today due to all the jackasses that insist on going in and being rescued. There are only a handful of guarded beaches this time of year.

I have a pretty cool video from yesterday when about 6 dolphins were riding the waves in and flying into the air. would love to post it but no clue how to post personal pics or vids. If someone knows how i'll send it to them

I was out there today and it was pretty rough and scary What scared me even more was seeing a little girl about 7-8 years old playing in the waves while her whole family was all the way up on the beach sitting in a circle and not one person had eyes on her.
These are the same people who continue golfing in the middle of a thunderstorm

It seems that all things at the beaches have been so much worse this year- never seen so many rescues and deaths on a weekly basis.
We vacation in LBI and waves can get huge there. Like 18 yrs ago while me and my wife dating we were in barnegat light. 26th ave beach and there had to be 40-50 people get rescued my now wife included within like 2 hrs We always stay on beach after 5 to hang and these 3 mothers let their 13-17 yr old kids in water. There were 5 or 6 of them. It took them like 20 minutes to get out and like at least 100-200yds further down the beach from where they started It was so bad. Told my wife let's get the *** outta here I'm not dieing for someone else's stupidity. People more specifically parents are dumber than dumb

Amazing to me that people don’t understand how powerful and unpredictable the ocean can get. Going to head down again tomorrow to check it out before the game - but it’ll be limited to watching from the deck of some oceanfront restaurant with my son.

It is quite magnificent this evening. Golden red sunset on one side and and waves breaking 100 yards out on the other

I was down LBI for a early fall Nor Easter. It was insane. The winds were only 35-40 maybe but the waves were crazy My bro-in-law has house on 11th st in barnegat light. It's like a 20 minute walk to get to water once you access the beach. You have to go over 20ft high dunes before you get to actual beach. Usually like say 100yds to water once u get on the actual beach. The waves came right up tonthe actual dunes and took out 8ft high of sand. Of course I look down the beach and 3 horses asses swimming in water. They were going like 100yds to the north in seconds that's how fast the water was moving. Never saw anything like that before. There was literally no beach it was all ocean. I did call the police and let them know there were 3 dudes swimming at like 14th street.

Hearing authorities didn’t initially know how many were on the boat.

1st two were whisked away on the PPB side before that info was shared.
I first heard they had found him in the boat, then identified where we was but couldn't safely get to him because of the rough water, now reliably they found the boat but not him. People putting their own spin on what's happened/happening.

There are plenty of Private beaches in NJ that lock their doors/gates to public access after Labor Day. Most are maybe only a block or 2 long. For example look at Funtown Beach in Seaside Park. Their gates are locked and will the DEP warn them? Jenks is the same type of Private beach but just much bigger.

I think one big issue is I'm pretty sure Jenkinsons Beach didn't accept government money and built their own Seawall on their dime and refused the addition of dunes like every other beach on the Barrier Island in Ocean County

Sean McCulley, who works at Jersey Hooker Outfitters, a local bait and tackle shop in Brick, said he knows the family. Narby's father, David Narby, who frequented the tackle shop, is an experienced boat captain who works in the Merchant Marines, McCulley said.

McCulley said David would come in, often with one or both of his sons, and buy tackle such as ballyhoo to take offshore fishing for tuna on his AquaSport called Kaboom.

“There’s just so much misinformation going around right now about what happened or what they were doing from people who don’t have all the facts,” McCulley said. “It’s very unfortunate what happened and it’s very sad.”

I get what this guy is saying and yes it’s an awful tragedy. But multiple people that I’ve talked to that are commercial fishermen and professional captains that have 50-70 ft sport fishing boats said it was very dangerous for boats of their size to be out there much less a 30 ft center console. It was a recipe for disaster.

They may have located the young man from the boat crash.....

Another what were they thinking? Kuddos to the two surfers for their quick response....

"She said the couple was an older Russian couple, in their 70s or older — and were definitely in trouble. She said the woman appeared to have more energy, but the man was exhausted."

Isn't that normal for an older couple? 🤷‍♂️ Surfers are an underappreciated resource. Good on them.
