@JayDogSmooth keep the info coming. For those that are ignorant of the movement FSU has made academically over the past 25 years, well there just ignorant. FSU, like Rutgers is clearly a middle of the pack B1G school. The biggest thing FSU lacks is total research dollars but if they get into the B1G I assume they would get the research boost Rutgers got by joining. Again, that would boost their academic rankings like Rutgers have been boosted by entering the B1G.
I talked to my Clemson buddy the other day. He was recently at a fraternity brothers funeral and ran into his board member buddy. Didn’t get much info other than this will be over shortly.
Thanks brother, admittedly, back in the day they were not exactly an academic powerhouse.
Over the past 20 years, though, there’s really been a shift towards academic priorities, and especially Once the thrasher became president
The research dollars will eventually come as well, AAU, and stuff to expand there because it’s the smallest campus square footage wise in the state for public universities
They are always battling UF for state dollars and designations, those politics rep, but they are slowly, but surely closing the gap
In regard to athletics, and specifically football, it would be a no-brainer to be in the big and preferred amongst most than the SEC
Anyone wondering why they’re doing all this public bluster, which, admittedly, I’m not a fan of, as for show in the matrix to sway public opinion, and eventually get them out of the ACC
Staying in there is not realistic if they hope to compete at an elite level moving forward
