Hell that's nothing. Cop got in trouble in my hometown for spotlighting and subsequently firing at a dummy deer monitored by the MDWFP. Fired at it with service pistol.

I saw a pic of the deer, a good 20+ inch inside spread.
Word is he saw the deer, then went home to get his rifle and came back and shot it.
He had a buddy come and pick up the deer too, thought he would get away with it..

Would I make the shot? Absolutely not and especially not if I was an officer of the law. He had to know this would be a fireable offense if he was knowingly out there breaking the law to this degree.

I'm not saying I haven't done my share of outlawing over the years but I have never done anything as stupid as this.
