I'm assuming the ending leaves a bad taste for many for it feels a bit abrupt and anticlimactic. I thought it was fitting for the show, because it eschewed certain Western genre tropes and was bleak and unrelenting; as was life in that area and time.

Side note, did anyone foresee this dude from The Last Boy Scout one day portraying Brigham Young.

I was also wondering what folks specific beef with the ending was - everything aint a happy ending. Did the series (and, hell, life itself) not prepare them for that??

Did anyone think the ending would be happy? I'm surprised the lady and her kid survived.

That was good. I just watched Horizon Chapter I. It's good as well. It's not your typical Kevin Costner directed movie. It's pretty rough.
