Ya, way back when, I thought those type of hits were awesome, but they were fairly rare, but then those big hits became a common occurrence and it certainly seemed like it was only a matter of time before someone was seriously hurt. As it turned out, even the guys that got up were incurring serious injuries.Most of those are not really that old. I am not a big fan of how extreme the penalties have become now, but I used to cringe at a lot of those hits back in their day. The game definitely changed in the 90's - early 2010's with the headshots. Those I can do without those.

I vaguely remember a Rutgers safety blowing guys up, I think during the Flood era, and I was thinking, when a bad college team has a guy doing this, it probably needs to get reigned it.Who here remembers ESPN’s “You got Jacked Up!”
