Just walked out to my car to get the license plate number, and it definitely wasn't out.
Saw the sun for a little bit earlier. By the time I remembered what it was, Poof it was gone.
I was in the Manahawkin area today (playing the Doc Cramer DG course) and the sun came out for about 3 minutes. I took a pic and sent it to the IM group we have with my wife, our son and his GF asking them if they had ever seen this bright yellow orb in the sky before. Silliness ensued.
There will almost certainly not be any winter storm threats until maybe 2/13, at least, so anything posted in this thread for awhile will be banter...

Groundhog Day - What is the rationale for a sunny/clear sky (seeing his shadow) meaning 6 more weeks of winter. OK, its a long standing legend. But, I have never heard any of the talking heads on TV or news articles explain why. Our forefathers must have based it on something.
The only thing I can come up with is sunny skies at the start of February in PA, means a dominant Canadian (cold) high pressure system with related jet streams is in place and will take weeks to give way to southern / warmer weather patterns. I am NOT a trained meteorologist and thank contributors to this thread for the great weather info/discussions.

New dog will enjoy getting to know the neighborhood with the sun out.
Kinda….6 month old Great Pyrenees/Lab/and something else mix. We’ll do the DNA thing at some point to confirm.
She was a rescue from Mississippi who my sister in law fostered for a bit.
Really pretty. Smart and well mannered. Chipped, spayed and has all her shots.
