Incredibly tragic. It can obviously happen anywhere, but Maine would have been one of my last guesses. Lots of places in Maine for this guy to hide. God speed to LEO.

At this time, we cannot assume the victims are white. Lewiston has one of the highest per capita rates of Muslims in the US. Almost all are Somali immigrants.

Effed up people + easy access to assault weapons = tragedy. Reportedly twice divorced (with a restraining order from one ex-wife) and supposedly threatened to shoot up his old base in Saco, ME and he supposedly spent 2 weeks in a mental facility this past summer, although this is all second hand info. Hope they catch this guy quickly.

One thing it seems that really hasn't been learned, is people who are mentally unstable and/or make threats like the one mentioned here should not gave firearms in their possession. Who followed up in those regards with this guy?
