When they get to be about $8,000 or less with little maintenance and last 5 plus years i'm all in.Prices are declining and I'm seriously considering giving one a try.
I'm seeing brands I've not heard of in the $4,500 range for 6 acres. I'm skeptical...When they get to be about $8,000 or less with little maintenance and last 5 plus years i'm all in.
My neighbor has one cutting 2.5 acres. It works everyday recharging at night and keep his yard looking great. $3,500Prices are declining and I'm seriously considering giving one a try.
The salesman must've come thru our neighborhood. We've got several families using them to cut their grass. Lots range form 3/4 acre up to about 2 acres. They seem to be cutting every day. Seem to naviagate the hills in th eneighborhood well. I see one stuck occasionally. One of them even runs his at night. Its an eerie site to see this red light moving all over the yard when you drive home. According to him it was around $3500. (HE even got a second one)My neighbor has one cutting 2.5 acres. I guess to show off to the neighbors and it's working! Why would these things need to cut every day? Seems like a waste of electricity (which ain’t free) & a pain in the a$$
They are not very fast, if you have a large lawn, like acres, it would need to run all day.Why would these things need to cut every day? Seems like a waste of electricity (which ain’t free) & a pain in the a$$
Dont ruin my plans....
Brand? My neighbor has one cutting 2.5 acres. It works everyday recharging at night and keep his yard looking great. $3,500
They typically don't finish it all on one charge. The "6 acre" one I saw said it could mow that much twice a week. I don't suppose you have to but if I'm not out there hassling with it I'd probably let it mow whenever it got the urge. Why would these things need to cut every day? Any idea how long he’s had it?My neighbor has one cutting 2.5 acres. It works everyday recharging at night and keep his yard looking great. $3,500
Kress, Kr233, he has had it a couple of monthsBrand?
Local park has one but best I can tell it has a solar charger. I guess it could be an awning so it can get out of the weather, not certain, but appears to be a solar powered charger. Why would these things need to cut every day? My lawn tractor was just under $2,000 10 summers ago and its still going strong. Takes me 45 minutes and I'm done for 10-14 days. 3 beers in a soft cooler w/ ice, ear buds, no cell phone and I'm a happy camper. Why would I want to spend $3500-$6000 and miss all that fun myself?
My MESH wifi works over my entire property, so whatever I want it to be but usually my old FIRE Tablet that I use outdoors for media only i.e. pods, Pandora, live streams of Bulldog road games, etcTo what are these earbuds connected?
Brand?I have one.
To me, there’s no better way to spend a summer evening than listening to the gentle hum of my electric robot mower go, as the sweet smell of smoke from my Traeger pellet grill wafts through the air while the Costco pre-seasoned spare ribs are slowly tenderizing.
In today’s times with all the digital distractions, its really hard to just roll up your sleeves, get dirty, and enjoy being outside, but I still find it to be quite rewarding.

The site has some really inflated "traditional tools" costs.FYI: this is the one I was referring to: https://www.yarbo.com/
This feels like a market that will have a lot of startups on the bleeding edge and then settle into a few key players via bankruptcy or acquisition by larger brands. I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger.
If you cut your grass 19 times a year (75% of the year every 2 weeks) and pay someone $65 ish dollars per cut, anything around $6500 sounds like a bargain as long as it lasts 5 to 6 years.FYI: this is the one I was referring to: https://www.yarbo.com/

I have plenty of sense, and since I ditched it on a Sunday, I said “Darn it” insteadI know two people that have them. One guy loves his, but they live in a stereotypical suburban neighborhood. My guess around half an acre of mowing. Fairly flat defined property line with little to no trees arounds. It works great for them. My other buddy lives on a bigger property(2 to 2.5 acres of mowing) in the country on the edge of the mountains. A fairly uneven and tree covered property. He got rid of his. It kept getting stuck and losing(?) the boundaries, but he also has more money than sense and just says 17 it when **** doesn't work on his time table.
That's my limited knowledge of them, but I post on Sixpack so I'm an expert.**
