OT:Atlanta airport flight delay …

on the way to a big time buzz musings!
Delta Air on Friday afternoons SUCK!
Can’t tell you how many times they have delayed, canceled flights on me over the years. Have rented cars to drive home when it’s really bad, this time - NO cars available.
I’m looking forward to football season just because it’s the start of Fall and cooler weather come early October. We should be 2-4 by then.
If Lebby manages to get this team to 5 wins, it will be a good season.
Can’t believe that’s where we are at especially after Sherrill beating AL in whatever year it was to become leader in wins at State and after Mullen took us to #1
Vic Sheaffer should still be our women’s and men’s basketball coach!

Giving Jans two more years to get us a Sweet 16 and if not, time to move on.
Where the hell did Saddawg go ? He’s been MIA for way too long. That was SixPack poetry back in the day.
I miss “You want a Coke?” “Yea- what kind you want”?
Im Super pumped about our baseball future?
I think we get to Omaha and win another Natty before the end of the decade!
Sweetwater 420 is good, doesn’t beat a Dogfish 60 Minute IPA though.
Guys who teams sucks USUALLY have a good marriage because — they’re loyal !

Years ago when I'd fly from Jacksonville to Memphis. The flight routed through Atl. I learned quick to fly to Cincinnati and then Memphis. I dnk where deltas hubs are now but that's my suggestion. Find another hub to connect through.

We will be 4-0 headed into the Tennessee game. Then to use a Sherril-ism, the balloon will pop.

Sherrill got the all time wins v Alabama in 2000. LT presented him with crystal vase or similar. The fans waved white towels that was a grass roots effort started on genes page. Or at least that where I heard the idea.

The hot rumor was Sherrill was leaving for Bama. Jackie did interview But Mal Moore passed on Jackie and hired Franchione. Dumb dumb dumb move.

Man, I don't fly if I can drive it in 12 hours or less.

I have never had a connection that wasn't delayed out of Atlanta in the last 20 plus years. I have never NOT missed a connection in LAX due to their overwhelming incompetence in immigration/customs. Every flight I have ever come in to LAX on was from overseas. I despise both airports.

A update.
Was supposed to have dinner plans at 6 PM with friends
I’m now scheduled to land at 9:47 PM
Florida St fan HATES their “new” helmet sphere decal - probably changed 4 years ago and is bitching about their Garnett and Gold colors and it’s not consistent.
And I thought we hated our logos and colors.

I fly Delta almost exclusively. Go through Atlanta almost exclusively. Have no problems whatsoever that are the fault of the airline almost exclusively.

Last 5 times I've been through ATL not 1 minute delay on any connection

I wonder how many of you realize that delays are due to things that could literally kill you in the air - you know like thunderstorms and mechanical issues.

It’s not any certain airport.

Dollar bills are just fun coupons in an airport. Had a 5 hr layover in ATL one time, sat down at the sweetwater brewery and told the lady to start at the top. 5 hrs later, I faked sober my way onto the plane. Dad picked me up, hammered, from KJAN and informed me that there’d been a change of plans, we were no longer headed straight home. We, instead, were headed to my mother’s S. Baptist Sunday school Christmas party. My drunk *** at a Baptist Christmas party made for an interesting time.

Delta used to use Dallas and Cincy as hubs in addition to ATL but I don’t think those are even options anymore

Back when I was traveling all the time I would just call home and say that I was in “airport hell” again and would eventually get home. Happened all over the country but I seemed to have the most trouble in Detroit and Atlanta.

ATL has always been great other than weather. Though I was stuck there when that huge system failure happened a few years back.

Yeah. And every airport shuts down when weather is too bad. It’s worse for ATL though because they have easily the most flights to the most cities. So a problem pretty much anywhere could affect ATL at least a little.

My last flight through ATL, I had the first flight out of GTR, I was in ATL about 9:00. 10:00 connecting flight had been cancelled when I got there. Long story short there were 5 more flights that Sunday and a whole cancelled plane full of people all wanting to fly standby on those 5 flights. I hung out at 5 different gates on standby, never got on one. They rebooked me for the next morning so I was sent to a dumpy hotel via an Uber and was 26 hrs late arriving at the conference. Screw ATL and Delta

Yeah, people fail to realize how busy ATL is compared to other airports. They have the most non-stop flights which equates to more connecting flights. Of course it's still a crowded *** airport but it's really easy to navigate.
