Football head coach Violante dead in a car crash.
Driving on the Parkway is like Russian roulette post pandemic. Rarely see State Troopers. On way back from EWR down to Exit 98 two Saturdays ago, several hipsters were weaving in and out of lanes going in excess of 90 mph, tailgating, swerving around cars to pass. And then there are the passing lane cloggers that add to this problem.Horrible news. RIP to all. Looks like the van may have had a bunch of hardwood floor guys. Just a guess based on location of where they lived.
The lane cloggers are the real issue post COVID. Seems like people are just trying to get in the way on the roads. Everyone just looking at their phones while driving. I wish there was more cops to enforce the stay right laws. That and all the Uber/Lyft drivers that are not from around here...just looking at their phones as well.Driving on the Parkway is like Russian roulette post pandemic. Rarely see State Troopers. May the Coach RIP. Stay safe.

On the plus side, and it did not help Coach, it seems the advances in auto technology, anti-lock brakes, alert sensors, air bags, etc. has cut down on the number of bad accidents. I have been doing fire/rescue for a lot of years. Back in the 1980's-90's, there were more bad car wrecks and fatalities based on my limited sample size. Back in the same town I started in, and the traffic is much worse, but fewer bad wrecks. The lane cloggers are the real issue post COVID. Stay left, pass right. I have been known to open my window and tell them to stop looking at their f*#king phone from time to time. The lane cloggers are the real issue post COVID. Same....my wife and kids think I am crazy but it drives me nuts people will pull onto the Parkway and immediately get into the fast lane and do 55. I have noticed on most highways the right lane is almost always empty. I take advantage of that often.Stay left, pass right. And sex. I drove past a car a few years ago and this chick was riding the driver. He just looked at me and smiled as I rode byHuge. Ran into this several times on the highways driving down with the clan to Virginia yesterday. Even in the rain.
