If you have a wife/girlfriend with you, Bon Ami is a pretty good brunch spot that my wife loves to go to. It's just off I-55. Overall favorite though is Another Broken Egg Cafe in Ridgeland. It's awesome. Several more, but those are some of my favorites?

ETA: I just noticed you said Downtown, so these may not be helpful. I don't spend any time downtown, so maybe someone else can help with that. It may be worth the drive to eat at one of the Ridgeland places though, unless you are wanting something really close.

I have worked downtown since 05. If you are there during the weekend, nothing is open. I think Parlor Market may do a Sunday brunch now. Your weekday breakfast options are basicall chic fil a and subway. Your hotel may be about your only choice downtown.

Edward Hotel and it was surprisingly a very good weekend....the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful and the hotel has been very well renovated. I like for urban areas to be improved and the only way is if people will help them out with it....they also had a very good breakfast...buffet style..but it was arranged by the wedding party so probably not an everyday thing.

Havn't lived in Jax in over 30 years but wasn't there a place run by a Greek family called the Mayflower?

Bring cash, they don't take cards. It's a ********, but damn the food is incredible. It's across the street from the strip clubs.

They haven't changed the oil in the deep fryer in 70 years. Oh yeah, don't go in there bad mouthing Skylar Laine, I'm pretty sure any of the women preparing the food could take the average MMA fighter.
