OT: Boardwalk Empire S3:E11 was the antithesis of the Egg Bowl. It did NOT suck.

Harrow's arsenal, Dunn Purnsley, Chalky, Eddie, Nucky driving the get away car, No sniveling Margaret, Luciano and Meyer about to be at war. Damn.... this show could go on forever. I wonder if the writers secretly wish they had just given in and set it in Chicago with Capone cause this was the moment everybody's been wating for:

i've been dying for more chalky screen time. just off two shows i've seen him on he's one of my favorite actors. omar from the wire is easily my favorite character on any show. that last scene with capone was awesome. i didn't think i'd enjoy the show as much without jimmy but this season has been great, especially the last half of it. margaret being gone and hopefully richard is about to take care of gillian now the series will only get better.

When Capone showed up, I was more excited about that scene than any point during the Egg Bowl.

I suspect

that Nucky will come out of this war, and when he does, Chalky will get his club on the Boardwalk. If that happens you can expect Chalky to become a much more central character to the plot in season 4.

Great episode...

Gna be interesting to see how all the bodies in the Ritz get explained. Looks like the Mayor is taking some heat in the next episode.

Chalky, long been my favorite character, was great in this episode. His stand off with Gip was as intense a scene as there has been. Michael K. Williams is a helluva actor. He is perfect for this role. Was just as good in the Wire. Gna be in Quentin Tarantino's new one Django.

I wonder how things with the group in NYC work out. Luciano obviously has a future.

That was a great episode. I'm ready to see Richard go to work. Didn't the highlights for next week have Nucky saying something about sacrificing someone? I get the feeling we're gonna lose another major character.

Is Boardwalk following history to a "T", or deviating from it?

It's not to a T by any means...

but I think they will follow major turns in people like Capone, Luciano, Lansky and others.

As far a sacrifice I bet its Rothstein and not how you think. In real life he was gunned down in 1928 at the Park Central Hotel over a poker debt. We'll see....
