OT: Box blinds

[idog]

Anyone have any suggestions for specific brands they have experience with and a good spot to buy them in the south delta (Yazoo/Humphreys/Sharkey county).

Do not buy a sportsman's condo.
Other than that, you'll be fine with any of the more popular brands.

I have one of these and it's the best one I've ever had. It's better than redneck etc. I am planning to add another one next year. I have

I can’t be brand specific but do not by the black ones. Even on a relatively cool comfortable day they will cook you if sitting in direct sunlight on a field of food plot.

I came here thinking this was about window treatments.

I thought they'd come up with a new kind of ladies underwear

We have 3 of the black generic ones. They’re fine as long as it’s cold outside but they’re not very quiet unless you put some carpet in them.

I would recommend one of these. They’re not terribly expensive, they are fully carpeted, and have plenty of windows. You can even bow hunt out of some of them.

go ahead and spend the money on a condo type. Buy once, cry once.

Build, much cheaper

We have two that we built with pressure treated wood. They are about 25 years old and still doing fine. One is on the ground and one is about 10 feet up and overlooking a 300 yard straight away down a steep hill. I don't mind spending money, but dangit I wouldn't spend over $3000 for a deer stand. I could take that 3 grand and put in a dang fruit orchard or chestnut trees.

Antler Shed hands down I have two and adding a third this year I will continue adding them over time. They are cheap but they are super nice

And to think I was able to kill as many deer as I wanted, still hunting, on the ground, with a single-shot 12 gauge loaded with TRIPLE 0 3-inch Buckshot.

It's really 17n easy to Box Blinds. They can't see **** coming!

My dad dropped us off at a tree. No stand, just a tree and a 20 gage single shot with 3" magnum buckshot shells, and we waited for the dogs to run.
