OT: Bulldog moving to Alexandria, La with ?'s

I am moving to Alexandria, La here shortly and was wondering if anybody on here lives in that area and can tell me good areas to live, Alexandra vs. Pineville, good restaurants, etc. If you can give me any information on the area I appreciate it, if not thats okay too. I'll hang up and listen now

We lived there a couple of years about 30 years ago andreally liked it. I'm sure it's changed a lot since then. The Pineville side of the river was the betterlocationat that time. Our son was not school agebut the schools in Pineville were supposed to be better as well. In any regard parochial schools are probably the best all aroundoption.

Good luck. Great people and great foodin Alec andsurrounding area. My wife loved the Alexandria area back when we lived there.

Edit: The restaurants we liked back then are likely gone today. Some were Port o' Call, Plantation Manor, and for a good burger, Peppers.
