Man, I just finished an Orval Trappist Ale, and.... Am I crazy or does that thing finish with a crazy spicy kick?! My lips feel like I just ate a dozen nuclear wings or something. GOOD BEER... But the SIZZLE caught me by surprise. Am I nuts?
But it's more of a function of being a Belgian beer using "wild" yeast more than being high gravity. If you like that spiciness, try anything classified as a Saison.
