But did you notice at the 0:17 mark the cashier that says, "Where ya been?" That's actress Donna Pescow who starred as Annette, hopelessly in love with Tony Manero (John Travolta) in "Saturday Night Fever."
I liked this sitcom that starred Pescow...

Funny first time I saw it I wasn't paying much attention. It wasn't until my second time seeing it that I realized it was actually John Travolta.

It's good to see that there is still creativity in the ad world; this is a clever commercial!

The movie Saturday Night Fever was released at the end of 1977. Old people like me will remember the introduction, with John Travolta striding down the street, and that you could not turn on the radio without hearing Staying Alive, You Should Be Dancing, and other songs from the album. But does the ad mean anything to anyone younger than that?

BTW, the movie was originally R-rated. But it was younger teens that bought the music. So a PG-rated version was later released so that they could see the movie.

Another BTW that concerns another movie: there are videos on Youtube of Olivia Newton-John bringing John Travolta on stage to sing You're the One That I Want with her. They are much older, but the electricity is still there.

Long before LBJ and OBJ and other celebrities who the public admires, we had ONJ to adore. Lopsided victory for the older folk.

Yup, creative and well done indeed like @oldtimer67 said. Speaking of funny creative ads, I've been really enjoying the new Etsy ad series, the one to the Mission Impossible song, haha. Here's a few of them:

In NJ, pointless contrarian argument is how we say “I love you”. 😀

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I’m thankful for Spanky creating this thread.
The state is home to a concentration of difficult people, edgy and contrarian and unkind, and just itchin' for an argument. Les Miserables. They revel in their unhappiness and joylessness, and want to bring you into their fold. Best to avoid them, especially as the Holidays approach.

I don’t know. We NJ folks give each other **** all the time. But when push comes to shove, we will also go to great lengths to help each other out. I really like the NJ attitude. I like the NYC attitude too.

Oh who am I kidding, I love everybody. 😀
