Don't know much about carpets, but I do know about calculating area. We received a quote from a one carpet place in the Jackson area who will remain nameless and were quoted 56% overage based on actual square footage. Everything I've read says 10-15% overage is typical. I understand all rooms are different, and seams need to be minimized, but this just seems excessive based on our layout.
Can anybody provide any insight into what is causing the huge overage?
Also, any recommendations on carpet distributors/installers in the Jackson area would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
