Make sure you keep a close eye on your son #Sandusky,OH.

Never been. Keep an eye on Groupon. They usually have good amusement park deals. Maybe Costco too.

Best roller coasters in the US, by a long shot. In the summer it's not too hot either. You get that nice breeze coming off of the Great Lakes. It crushes six flags

I went about ten years ago. At that time, it was called the roller coaster capital of the world or something like that. They had probably six really good coasters and maybe six so-so coasters that were older. The problem was that the six good coasters took turns being broken down the whole time. There will be zero eye candy unless some southern bell wanders into the place. I hope your experience is better than mine. If you go at the right time, in my opinion, six flags atlanta is better. I haven't been on a roller coaster tour in years though, so things change.

I went a few years ago while I was in X-ray school and had a blast. We rode Top Thrill Dragster a bunch of times with the flash pass and the Millenium Force as well as the other top coasters. 0 to 120 mph in 4 seconds is pretty intense especially at over 400 feet in the air. The next day we got up and drove to Niagara Falls.

You can save a few bucks by buying tickets from Kroger or Meijer (midwestern Wal-Mart). There's a package deal where you can get a ticket for both Cedar Point and King's Island for $65 (but the catch is they are at different ends of the state). If you get tired of the whole amusement park scene, the wife might enjoy a trip to the Bass Islands/Put-in Bay (go ahead and giggle at the name...) and the Victorian/touristy stuff there, along with Perry's Victory (War of 1812) Monument. There's also a civil war POW camp near Sandusky, if you're a history buff.

Agreed. We go every time we're in San Antonio. I wish that park were here in Dallas instead of the old piece of crap in Arlington (Six Flags, not Jerry Jones).
