Worth noting that IU's largest weakness was at DL. At RU we had good players already in the mix. From one of their spring previews:
Defensive line depth was an issue for the Indiana Hoosiers prior to the exit of Philip Blidi and it is now a blinking red light that is clearly the highest area of need for this team. Getting James Carpenter back on the field will help immensely but IU needs to add at least two big-bodied defensive tackles and bringing in an additional defensive end is likely something they’ll try to accomplish as well.

Probably. And also, if that's their glaring weakness it's more likely they will be willing to empty the NIL coffers to land West. Definitely don't blame him.

You can claim he got his start at Indiana, but he made his name with the Huskies.
He went from Washington, not Indiana. Had he stayed in Indiana, he may not have been able to walk.

You are splitting hairs. Both left entrenched positions for greener (has multiple reasons, including compen$ation) pastures. Fink was the word that would have described these players years ago.
Nope. Jonah Jackson earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers. He gave his four undergraduate years to Rutgers. Totally different.
That’s one take on his departure. I am pleased to know that getting degrees was important to Jonah. He would be a successful NFL player whether he spent his fourth year of eligibility at Ohio State or Rutgers. Rutgers needed him far more than Ohio State. Which we all (and all his Rutgers teammates & coaches) know doesn’t matter.
