OT: College cover bands

My wife and I were trying to remember all the cover bands that played when were in school. Only bands I could remember were U.S. and the Mailmen. She’s younger than me and brought up The Breakfast Club.

Do y’all remember cover bands who played around Starkville in the 80’s and 90’s?

Fling Hammer, Splendid Chaos...U.S. at Rick's damn near every 17'n month. Those geriatric *** clowns are still performing. I think they only came to Starkville once but Spank The Monkey was my all time favorite cover band; if they were at The Dock or anywhere else in Jxn, I was there.

I'm trying to remember some of the bands that played at Mulligan's in the early 90's. Pretty sure The Windows were from that time frame weren't they?

I saw The Back Doors (Doors cover band) at Mulligan's a couple of times in the mid 90's.

Yep, Eli was about as good as they got back then. Cookie continues to front some version of Eli in the Tallahassee area. Wonder if he can still twirl kick the high hat?

Swinging Richard’s. More Tupelo, but ventured to Starkville from time to time.

Larry Raspberry and the High Steppers I saw a few times at Homecoming. Maybe don't count as a cover band.
