Maybe this story just seems wild to me, but I thought I'd share with the group.

I'm not Catholic. I traveled to Europe in May 2013 and stopped by the Vatican. Francis had been pope for a couple months at that point. I bought a coffee mug while I was there with his picture on it. I put the mug in my carry on, and it made it back to Mississippi. A couple months later, I moved to the northeast by throwing a few belongings in my checked bags and getting a one way flight. The mug traveled with me and survived the flight. Since that time, I've lived in 11 different apartments/houses/condos, and the mug has gone with me every time. It survived a move back South, a move to the PNW, and a recent move back East.

I was drinking out of it yesterday morning (Easter), and I noticed that the base was completely destroyed. It was fine the last time I'd used it, and I microwave it all the time for tea. Anyway, the mug had faded over time, but the structure had always been completely fine until yesterday morning. I was worried that it was breaking on the inside too, so I tossed it in the trash yesterday. Woke up this morning to find out the pope was dead.

Perhaps I'm old and cynical, but I have questions anytime someone "sees Jesus" and their visual concept of him is the white version we see depicted all over. Even despite that obvious issue, since we don't have any polaroids of him, I'm a bit skeptical of it all. However, if he could look like Lemmy, that would be pretty awesome.

A Jewish guy and a Chinese guy are sitting at a bar, and the Jewish guy says to the Chinese guy "Why did the Chinese bomb Pearl Harbor?" and the Chinese guys replied. "Chinese no bomb Pearl Harbor. That was Japanese." Then the Jewish guy said, "Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese are all the same." Then the Chinese asked. "Why did the Jews sink the Titanic?" The Jewish guy replied, "The Jews did not sink the Titanic, that was a Iceberg." Then the Chinese guys say, "Iceberg, Goldberg, Rosenberg are all the same"

And some of you have sworn to me that when I talk of messing with the sports gods that they don't exist. See it's all related. They love giving signs that they are around.
