i love the response from the AD

The incident that occurred following Thursday’s women’s basketball game was extremely unfortunate and certainly not consistent with, or representative of, our expectations for our programs and student-athletes," the statement read. "Because the incident occurred after the game, jurisdiction falls in the hands of local authorities, and we are cooperating fully with their process. To be respectful of that process, we will not comment further until it is complete.”

I don't know how true that is because not one of the Memphis players seemed shocked or concerned that the girl was laying on the ground, they all just looked down and kept on walking.

Also interesting that he didn't bother to offer an apology either.

Ami Finau intentionally broke Noah Vedral’s ankle on television after the play was over, sentencing him to severe pain, crutches, and rehab. He was suspended for one half of one game. Didn’t lose his scholarship, wasn’t thrown out of school, and was not put behind bars like the animal he is. Juwon Howard physically attacked a coach, inciting a fist throwing brawl among the kids he leads. Didn’t lose his job and was never arrested. The B1G should be ashamed of itself. If I was Vedral’s father I’d be furious and want it addressed appropriately.

If the Memphis athlete was not physically assaulted first (which there is no mention of in the article) and it’s as simple as violence was initiated by her, then I hope she is never permitted to play college ball again.

The NCAA does condone violence, as repeatedly evidenced by their wrist slaps and silence. Their refusal to punish violent offenders means it will continue as they aren’t doing anything meaningful to deter it. It’s one episode after another after another. Shame on them.

A half game suspension that he never served, as that game was cancelled due to covid.
