Elon vs Zuckerberg Cage Match: Who Ya Got?

Short summary for those who don't know:

Marc Zuckerberg of Meta/Facebook fame says they are thinking of making a Twitter competitor.

When asked about it Elon Musk says "I'm down for a cage match"

Zuck responds "Send Me Location"

UFC's Dana White says Zuck calls him and asks him if Elon is serious and Dana says I'll call him and ask. Musk says he is dead serious.

Musk is 6'1 190lbs and 51 years old

Zuck is 5'9" 160lbs and 39 years old and, apparently, has been training in Brazilian ju-jitsu and other martial arts.

If I had to guess, I'd say Zuckerberg has the advantage based purely on age and, I'd assume, he is much better conditioned at this point. If he stays away from Musk long enough he'll wear him down and then be able to attack easily.

But I'd root for Musk.

Can we get a tag team event going with them and Bezos/Gates?

Really depends on how long Elon's battery lasts.

Would be a great time for someone to blow up the ring like in The Dark Knight Returns.

Zuck is actually trained and pretty good at what he does. Zuck is going to smoke Elon.

Someone with even basic level MMA training has a huge advantage over the untrained. Even though Musk is bigger he is at a big disadvantage.

Absolutely agree. I also saw video of zuck and he actually seems to be decently good. When you can hire high level trainers to do 1 on 1 training for hours a day it pays off.

Musk should hire a close-quarters combat instructor and train as much as he can. I'm not talking "rules fighting", but nasty all-out, crush-your-windpipe, pop-an-eye-out tactics. If he does this, he will prevail. LOL.

Zuckerberg would impress me if he first fought one of the Winklevoss brothers.

I’ll go with the Mike Tyson theory, first one to get hit with a good shot in the face will collapse.

The "fight" would be almost certainly very boring as are most "fights" with rules.

However I think it would be really great if FB created a twitter competitor.

Well since TIK tok is already in use I suggest calling the company Hemifacial spasm.

HemSpas for short.

I do think the conditioning will help a lot... but I don't know if Zuckerberg has been in a real fight yet. I doubt his trainer has humbled him even once. Musk says he was in violent street fights growing up in South Africa.. if that's the case and he retains any of that toughness acquired there.. and won't be gassed in 30 seconds of real physical effort.. this could be a flip-a-coin situation and be entertaining.

Like Mike Tyson said " everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face".
I love that quote.

I laugh when I see people talking major **** that I know full well would get their *** kicked if things escalate. To see the look on their face when you say " it's obvious you've never been hit by a grown man with a closed hand. If you had you would tone it down.". Priceless.

To your point, even with training, somebody with zero toughness will lose. Nobody goes unscathed in a fight.

Closed hands/fists are broken hands. Except a hammer-type blow. That said, an open palm strike to the bridge of the nose is devastating. As for "taking a hit," best to learn how to maneuver to minimize chances of direct hits.

Yeah right
Mike Tyson ran around karate chopping people?😂😂
If you break your hand you were never taught proper punching form.
A backfist to the nose is a real good attention getter if you just want to give a warning shot or distract from a well placed solar plexus punch.
Palm strike is just as likely a broken wrist if the thrower doesn't know how to align things for a punch.

Not getting hit/hit hard is about distance, not maneuvering. Create distance or close it.

Except for controlled( in the ring/gym ) situations, the best move is to recognize the aggression and avoid a fight altogether unless absolutely necessary. Even if you are proficient the other guy could get lucky and take you out. I'll poke fun at somebody with a big mouth that is no threat, but won't engage if it's avoidable.

Tyson boxed with 18-oz gloves. I thought we're looking at a gloves-off brawl for Musk v Lizard Boy? No rules. My mistake if that's the case. That aside, you seem ruffled. Ease up, sport. And I'm not talking karate. More like IDF Krav Maga. The real stuff, not the strip mall dojo sort.

No way either of those guys is going for bare knuckle brawl.

I'm not miffed at all. If I came off that way it wasn't my intention.

I see why you put forward palm heel to the nose now(which is pretty dangerous). IDF is life and death stuff. Throat strikes, eye gouges etc.

My instructor in the day was all about taking the most effective parts of all disciplines and creating practical real life combat skills. Like MMA before it was a thing. Mostly quick strike and escape stuff. Some ground game and chokes if you get taken to ground.

I was talking about dealing with drunk morons and idiots. Not folks trying to kill me or my loved ones. That's a whole different ball of wax. All bets are off when it comes to that. Preemption would be my MO for that. Think Indiana Jones with the sword guy.

I see zuck has been in BJJ competitions.

No clue if he even practices standup.

This would be reminiscent of early MMA, with a BJJ specialist lacking in other area's vs an older guy who doesn't actually train but is bigger and used to get into street fights when he was younger.

The BJJ guys used to win those fights most of the time.

Musk might be in a no-lose situation. if he loses the response is: "Congrats to Marc. He has been training for real and showed it." But what can Zuckerburg say if he loses.. "Congrats to Elon. Size matters. I was out of my weight class. I lost to an old, fat, pot-smoking out-of-shape genius."
