Two things.
First there was a mic'd moment that was captured that was unbelievable to today's NFL. It was in the first Superbowl they won. Terrell Davis gets tripped and I guess hits his head. He gets up and says "I can't see" and is helped off. The next shot has Shanahan asking TD how he was. He tells him that he can't see. Shanahan then says "You don't need to see on this play because you're the decoy. But if your not in there they won't believe the play action and it won't work." The next shot they have Elway telling TD to "Just run forward and I'll adjust to you". Elway bootlegs for a Touchdown on the play. Even old school me was taken aback a little.

Second I'm in it. You can't really tell but in the shot were Elway hits a double for the Oneonta Yankees. After he rounds first he crosses in front of the Astros first baseman. That's me.

That's awesome. Do you remember the moment?
I don't remember any doubles hit by opposing players. The thing I remember about that series was there was a event before one of the games where the Oneonta players were teamed up with a kid and they would toss an egg back and forth. If the egg broke, the duo was eliminated. They got further apart on each throw. Elway and his partner and I think the shortstop and his partner were the last two teams standing. They got to be like 40 feet apart. Elway won with his partner.

The other thing I remember was that field was the dimensions of old Yankee Stadium. So the fence was 460 in left center field. I hit a fastball over the fence at probably the 450 mark.

I was a huge Broncos fan as a kid. Those last two Super Bowls teams were special.

"We've" played in 2 more since then & won the last one.

But I agree, those 2 years were awesome. It was the height of my NFL Fandom as well.

That’s wild. Did you know you were in it before you started watching? If not, I bet that would be quite the moment.

I had seen that particular footage before but don't remember where. When they got to talking about the Yankees I figured it might be used.

I never knew much about Elway's personal life. His wife, now ex, has teeth almost as big as his. When she said they clicked their teeth together on their first kiss, I did a spit take...and I wasn't even drinking anything.

Thought id look up your stats from that year just for fun
I was batting over .300 before that MFer Bob Kennedy insisted that I squat down in my batting stance. Total <17>n' idiot. The Astros organization at that time was a total joke. Had nowhere to take extra BP. So you demand I change my stance, while I'm leading the team in every category, and have no means for me to practice this new ingenious change to give me more power.

Bull Durham was so accurate.

Watching it now…Davis had a migraine come on during the game.
