I agree. Nothing like cracking open a can of Hormel beanless at the first sign of frost.I'd add in chili. Nothing like a good bowl of chili when that first cold front comes through.
We think a lot alike. All of the women in my office have been talking about 'pumpkin spice' crap for weeks, they can't wait for it to hit the shelves. Just the scent of it makes me want to barf. I just bought a new freezer that will be fully stocked with boiled peanuts soon too. I'm down to 2 bags from last years crop so I need to get it done soon for football games."Pumpkin Spice" anything.....is of the Devil.

Don't buy them out of a can. Slow boil them over night with Cajun seasoning.never liked slimy boiled peanuts. you can have all of them. what a waste of peanuts.

Absolutely. South Louisiana pork cracklins are on another level.I’ll just add some Boudin balls and Cracklin’s which if you get the real south Louisiana cracklins - it’s like crack!
We do our own with pork belly in an iron kettle. Thick chunks with some Tony's or other "Cajun" seasoning and it's as good as it gets! Fresh cracklins are so dang good! Blood pressure, not so muchAbsolutely. South Louisiana pork cracklins are on another level.

I never could do the dumplings. I have texture issues...among many other issues...Chili
