Herenda may end up at Seton Hall. Should we lose Knight, I think Pike is very good friends with Herenda so worth watching.

If we lose Knight, we could end up with McConnell. He runs the Princeton offense which seems to be more effective than the one Karl runs. Karl can then work on defense. The other guy I like is Kevin Ollie.

You can run a successful program there because you are competing with programs who are in the same boat.
I don’t know about that. Some of those schools have some type of fanbase and aren’t empty campuses on weekends. I have not been to the other NEC schools, but I would guess have nicer campuses than FDU—Hackensack. I was there years ago and it is completely different than FDU-Madison.

Depends how big of an NIL wad you put in his back pocket. I think the basis for evaluating a staff's ability to recruit is going to change significant going forward.
Rutgers has struggled to land elite players long before NIL entered the picture. A successful recruiting background is a prerequisite for a Big Ten hoops staff opening.

FDU- Teaneck (or is it now Hackensack?), NJIT, St. Peters, and Rider all pay about $250K for a Head Coach. Monmouth is double that for King . I think Rider is the best job out of those.

Kevin Ollie heads up OTE down here in Atlanta. He's not going anywhere soon.

Tom Green was there for 26 years.
2009 was a long time ago and Green did have 3 real bad years at the end, but overall kept FDU a fairly good program.
Greg Herenda did have a 21-14 record as FDU's HC in the 2018-19 season and won the NEC regular season title also won that conference's tournament championship .
So under the right leadership the FDU Knights might not look like deathtrap for coaches and could be a stop on the trip upward for the right HC.
Found this about Green:
>Tom Green served as the head coach of the Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s basketball team from 1983-2009. Green compiled the most wins in FDU program history (407) with a record of 407-351 for a .536 win percentage. His 260 conference victories still rank first all-time among Northeast Conference Coaches. He finished his tenure with a 260-190 record against league foes which represents a better than 60 percent win percentage.

Green led the Knights to four NCAA Tournament berths in 1985, 1988, 1998 and 2005 and two National Invitational Tournament Appearances in 1991 and 2006.

In 26 years at the helm of the Knights, Green recorded 18 winning seasons with 16 NEC Tournament semifinal appearances. Under Green, the Knights played in nine NEC Championship games.

During his time with FDU, Green was named Coach of the Year on numerous occasions. He received the honor twice from the Northeast Conference, three times from the New Jersey Writers’ Association, three times from the New Jersey Coaches’ Association, once from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers’ Association and once as awarded by the NIT.<

Like I've always said------when you have FDU playing Florida Atlantic to go to the Sweet 16 you have to throw out the record books. LMAO

can I constantly brag about this .
I'd love to bring up this in other discussions claiming "Madhat knows" what he's talking about , then pointing out how I was right about FSU's hire
😃
That's up to you... But now whenever he brags about it as evidence of his expertise on all things Rutgers, the rest of us can remind him that we consider MADHAT1's FDU hire prediction to be much more impressive... (Thank you lord..) 😉
