Meanwhile the B1G Network competes with a one hour Minnesota vs.Purdue football replay. The B1G Network is embarrassing.
Finebaum followed the Fickiell interview with an interview of the producer of NetFlix’s Johnny Manziel documentary, followed by a conference realignment discussion with callers about the significance of the new landing spots for Clemson and Florida State, followed by interview with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.
The B1G Network plays football game replays that are essentially TV Yule Log broadcasts for Big Ten fans.
Who won?

Not your most insightful take.
It's literally true though besides maybe Maryland which became a union state eventually.

Wow that might be a record delay for a reply to a post. I salute your perseverance.
Ok.

You've failed tell us how it lacks insight though. Even includes California and Oregon.

Honestly calling it the Big Ten doesn't make any sense anyway anymore just call it the Union lol.

Yes he is a SEC mouthpiece BUT he does a good job with guests, especially discussions with college writers around the country.

When he ridicules RU Football and spews false information he is a douche IMO.

The NYC Bama alum club advertises a bar with seating for 200 to watch Bama games..

Does Finebaum really think there are more Bama fans? What a douche. he's a Tenessee alum who shills for Bama (or whoever is atop the SEC)... shocked he didn't use Georgia.

I always found that part to be...interesting.

What happened at Tennessee?

Go F yourself (F is for football 😏 )

I guarantee you that there are more Big Ten fans than SEC fans in America (and the world). And the TV contracts should tell you something about that.
Seriously? The South has 2/4 remaining Power conferences and the 3rd has multiple teams in the South. If you combine all the TV rights of the teams that play in the South compared to the Rust Belt it is not even close. There are programs in the B1G where the fan base intensity rivals that of the Southern schools, but there simply aren't nearly as many. Not even open for discussion, sorry.

And yet the Big Ten is still the most valuable conference by a hefty margin.

Finebaum is a shill that has no following outside of the Southeast.

Yes, it is understood that the B1G has some of the most valuable programs, but there is no second Power conference that occupies that same space, the only other FBS conference that shares the Rust Belt space is the MAC. The South has two Power conferences, some programs from a third Power conference, plus the AAC, CUSA, and the Sun Belt. There is no argument that college football is a Southern sport.

TN just didn't win enough for Feinbaum I guess. Prolly like those Rutgers "fans" we see. They become frontrunner fans of schools they say they admire and crap all over their school.. and who chooses to go to Rutgers to follow sports?

But for Feinbaum and TB.. he shills for the whole SEC and will trumpet whoever is ranked highly. Maybe he didn't like them hiring Kifkin.. not a good ol boy network guy.

Too funny!
I did not know Feinbaum regularly posts on the Rutgers board as "RUforLife".

Only 38% of the population lives in the South. Everywhere else totals 62%. The South would have to have twice the rate of college football fans just to be even (and I think they are even because of that). The Big Ten has teams in the other 3 regions, Northeast, midwest and West. And the statement that was objected to saying "College football is a Souther sport" was an objection to that the Big Ten is not a national conference.

Now, kissing yer cousin might be a "southern sport".. but not college football.. it is national sport that crowns a national champion (that happens to be from a southern school far too often these days.. probably because northern states went too blue and loose population to the south).

You are a bit of troll aren't you? None of what you are saying makes any sense, it is sophomoric dribble. Again, stick to actual facts, I know it may be tough for you. The Rust Belt has the B1G and the MAC. The South has ACC, SEC, AAC, CUSA, Sun Belt, and a few teams thrown in from the Big 12. Now, I am done with you, because with trolls they always have to have the last word, which is fine if that makes you feel better about yourself and your situation. God bless!!

Nobody cares about the bolded.🤷‍♂️

And soon enough the ACC could join those other ones in relevance.

It’s a two horse race.

The discussion was not about particular conferences, it was about regions of the country. I hope people realize that USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington are not part of the Rust Belt and neither are Penn State, Maryland and Rutgers. FBS football is primarily located in the Southern portion of the country, you can't argue that fact.

College football is played at various levels throughout the Country.

It matters for some places more than others.

Still a two horse race.🤷‍♂️

That’s what I’m sayin’😉
What the guy who is done with me because I am a troll was saying was that I was wrong to call the Big Ten a nationwide conference because they do not play in the south. They play in the Northeast, Midwest and West... but that's not good enough. In order to make that charge, he decided college football was a southern thing.

I kinda thought y’all and Princeton started this whole mess somehow. Aren’t y’all North of the Mason-Dixon?

The South has more football fans per capita but the northeast, east and west coast have way way more people and more $$$.

BTW since you have such a bad take maybe you'd agree with me that we should just call the Big Ten the Union and the SEC the Confederacy and be done with it.

Yes.. but barely. Weird thing.. if Mason-Dixon continued straight from where Pennsylvania hit teh Delaware river, a decent chunk of "South Jersey".. also called jerseybama.. would be south of the Mason-Dixon line.. but they curved the line into Delaware Bay. Cape may was a resort largely for Southerners to come north.. with their "travelling slaves" for a cooler summer than they could get at home. And further up the coast, well above Mason-Dixon, is Long Branch and its Seven Presidents Park because seven presidents summered there. And as Joe Biden likes to say, Delaware was a slave state.
