Anybody have good experiences with one of the many companies I'll find in the yellow pages? My house may or may not need some help and while I'm going to get several companies out to look I'm concerned about getting gouged and lied to about what is needed.

Mack Chun / structural solutions. Just put 9 pillings in Friday. Good crew, started and finished in a day, everything went back where it was supposed to, and cleaned up to the point it was almost as if it never happened.
Do your research. Evidently it can be a lucrative business. Some if these companies have quite a few lawsuits filed against them.

Since you said "may or may not" I would suggest you contact a Structural Engineer that will give you an unbiased opinion. I had him come out prior to putting in Hardwood and Tile. If I were going to have to jack the house, wanted to do it before putting in new floors. Will PM you the guy that I used.
