Agree. As good as Genesis became with Phil Collins, I think Peter Gabriel solo career is even better.I recently listened to the entire Genesis catalog while at work (background while I code), and I can honestly say the Phil Collins version of Genesis was far superior to the Peter Gabriel version.
From a solo perspective, they both have some great tunes. I personally liked Peter Gabriel's output more than Phil Collins', but 'In the Air Tonight' is probably my favorite song by either artist.

Sonny went the way of Ike Turner career wise. He didn't beat Cher though.I blame Gregg Allman for the Sonny and Cher breakup. *******
I always called Tarzan the Phil Collins Musical Experience. This guy

I like all of them, but Mike & the Mechanics is the only one thar has a song that gets to me emotionally. You may prefer one over the other but Phil had the better career. Thats not debatable, although PG was a visionary.
I prefer Mike & the Mechanics to them both
This poll is really answered by which song is greater: In The Air Tonight versus In Your Eyes.
Red Rain is spectacular.I like all of them, but Mike & the Mechanics is the only one thar has a song that gets to me emotionally.
The last verse of The Living Years gets me every single time.
I dont think those are even the best songs they have.
Another Day in Paradise vs Sledgehammer or Red Rain ( although Red Rain is not nearly as widely known.)
