Great thread! I am trying not to lol on the train reading some of this. I have admit I sampled a box of the milk duds we were handing out and they were a little harder than I like. I also thought the starburst felt a little hard as well. All bought this year but maybe stashed by cvs. Glad the op and kids were not in my neighborhood given his uncanny ability to recall which houses gave out the expired goods.

you sure its an expiration date? Many of them are production lots and do not expire.

OP should just tell his kids they can't have the candy cause it's expired and eat it himself.

SMH - did she check to see if it was gluten free and organic too?
If you think about it 'Candy Corn' would be gluten free, organic and non-GMO and doesn't contain peanuts. Perfect for our children, right?

I heard Kyle Flood's house was giving out expired candy, but he's willing to make it up to your children by badgering their teachers to raise their grades.

Im assuming the person overbought, and just stashed it in a closet. Reality is that its not like its gonna go bad in any meaningful way. Its not medicine.
Even that doesn't go bad nearly as fast as they claim. As to the OP just throw it away.

thanks for the wisdom spewed on this thread...next time I'll make sure I just place the expired candy in the basket I place in front of your kids when they come calling freeloading for free candy...make sure you look for those hidden treasures...

American candy bars for the most part are disgusting (particularly anything made by Hersheys, can't stand Hershey's chocolate). For cheap and better tasting alternative go with chocolate made by cadbury's (like most of the rest of the world). If I eat chocolate it's either the good stuff or none at all.

Hershey's = chocolate flavored wax.
