Very long story, but I am a life long Dolphin fan because of the ‘71 SB. Anytime the Cowboys lose is a good time. Anytime that loss is in the playoffs it is a great time!!
They embraced it and promoted it fully. One of my all time favorite moments is way back in 1981 when the 49ers beat Dallas in the NFC champ game and I believe it was Hollywood Henderson contemptuously said to Joe Montana “You prevented America’s team from playing in The Super Bowl”, to which Montana replied “now you can watch it on tv like the rest of America”.
