They embraced it and promoted it fully. One of my all time favorite moments is way back in 1981 when the 49ers beat Dallas in the NFC champ game and I believe it was Hollywood Henderson contemptuously said to Joe Montana “You prevented America’s team from playing in The Super Bowl”, to which Montana replied “now you can watch it on tv like the rest of America”.

I'm glad I get a respite from "Dax this" and "Dax that", endless shots of the Cowgirls' owner, and constant talk about the Cowboy's great quarterback, great O-line, great receivers, great running back, great D-line, great linebackers, great secondary, great coaching staff....usually from former Cowgirl players doing color commentary on tv games.
Humiliated in their own house. What's not to love ?
They're definitely not 21st century America's team.
