I hope TCU provides this guy with the help he needs to live a healthy life.
Seriously. Kid is going to have a heart attack.

I recall a few years ago watching Purdue play Minnesota, and Purdue had a guy built like that on the extra point team. Couldn't really move, but took up a lot of space.

I coached Manny Yarborough when he wrestled in HS. When we got to weigh in's in AC they had yo use a meat scale. He got angry that the scale said 400 lbs so he stripped down and got on the scale and he was 398.

Great young man and did a lot in his short life. Ton's of great stories.

6'8" and over 800lbs!!!
I'm kind of amazed he made it to 51. Wow!
All you can eat places must have locked their doors when they saw him coming.

Remember alot of dudes would not wrestle him for safety reasons. I remember our coaches wouldnt let our HW wouldnt wrestle him

His weigh in was at a truck stop.
Worked at St Peter’s hospital while attending RU. We had a frequent flyer that we had to take to the loading dock to weigh. She was so large we had to order a special bed to accommodate.

terrible

when at Kalahari indoor water park there was one ride (turns out to be the best one) where four people ride on raft, and before you get on you stand on what is basically a pallet scale to make sure your group not too heavy so your raft doesn't flip at top of ramp, me and some guys exceeded that total (nobody was obese but i guess threshold # kind of low) and red blinking light goes on, makes a noise, little embarrassing.

Good lord, my knee's are killing me at less than half that weight. I feel for his....

#1 pick Mekhi Becton of the Jets hurt his knee at 390lbs and he cant heal-up properly at 360 because he weighs so much.

Rooming with a guy that big has challenges since hygiene is factor.

He's one big guy...Hope his health holds up. Should provide some entertaining pancake blocks if he plays. Interestingly, TCU lists him as a freshman on their roster at 455lbs, while ESPN lists him as a freshman on the TCU roster at 360lbs... That's a pretty big swing... Not sure which is more accurate.

That kid is heading down a very scary path. He should be in the shelf until he loses at least 100lbs.

More like 200lbs. These guys guys go one of a few ways, especially when done playing.

They either eat like they always did and die a quick life or completely change their ways. I see Strahan a lot and am always amazed how thin he's gotten since he got done playing. It can be done.

I remember when Sherman Plunket was lineman for the Jets. Really big and really slow, once Naimath three and int. and it was really funny seeing Sherman waddle after the db to try and save a pick 6- didn’t come close to catching him.

Saw Jim Burt about 5 years after he retired. Went from 270 to 225.

I was a little kid living in the midwest at the time, but my friends and I always liked to watch Jets' games in part to see Sherman Plunkett waddling in and out of the game... (I was a Raiders' fan and my buddies were Chiefs' fans, but the Jets were great to watch also...)

I can’t remember the players name but he played for NU then went to the nfl for about 6 years. He played center and weighed around 280-290. Two years after he left football an NFL team hounded him to come to camp and he said no thanks. They kept calling him and finally he told them he weighed 210lbs and didn’t think he could hang. Haha

He has a pretty epic Pride Fighting video on Youtube (no weight classes) where he's battling it out at 600 lbs with a 185 lbs asian guy. Manny was sweating profusely from just circling the ring & swatting at a fly for 5 minutes.

It's all great while this dude is young and somewhat active and a "cult hero". But he is a health disaster waiting to happen based on the probabilities related to his weight. I hope he loses a good amount of weight and makes other improvements to reduce his future health risks.
