I could roll with it. Means I can serve roast beef and Yorkshire pudding at my party, with some Bird's Custard for dessert. Not a problem here.

As mentioned in the article, to begin at 6:30 EST would mean an 11:30 PM start in London. To start at 8PM London would mean a noon start on the West Coast (with pregame and all those commercials starting around 7AM) and 10 AM in Hawaii.

I don't think so.

They would probably start it an hour earlier. The local time in London wouldn’t matter too much. The time in an nyc will matter. The tv executives will decide the kickoff time like they always do .

So no Yorkshire pudding then? 😢

They'll advertise it as NFL Super Bowl midnight madness in London. Kickoff happens at the stroke of midnight. New York would kick off at 7 PM, and future Super Bowls will kick off at 7 as the prime time creep continues on Super Bowl Sunday.

No way. It's the NATIONAL Football League, not the World Football League. Crazy to even entertain the idea.
In case you haven't noticed, there are multiple games a year overseas. "National" doesn't mean diddly squat if you can get other markets involved and rake in more $$$. It's possible the NFL gets a SB played there, but will they?

I read somewhere that it would be a 3:30 p.m. start. They could easily pull it off with the two-week break in between. For us, it would be like a real old school SB starting in the afternoon.

Don’t like the idea of holding the Super Bowl outside the USA. Should we hold the MLB World Series in Japan? Let’s hold March Madness in Germany. Does the UK move the British Open to pick your choice. Not everything needs to be globalistic in scope.

It’s a tv event. It doesn’t matter where it is.

Like....who cares where it is? I couldn't tell you where any of the last 20 super bowls were. Boise? Tuscaloosa? What difference does it make? It's a TV event.
Sure put it any place that fits the view of some . Dubai is nice in Jan-Feb … warm weather … people from the teams involved will flock there.

Bars already open early on Sunday mornings for 10 am NFL games so noon would actually be late!

Hmm.. does that mean I won't have to stay up until 2AM to watch the game in full?

Count me in. But what about the West Coast? What's the latest they can start the game.. 9PM London time? 1PM LA time.. hmm.. that works... for LA. Superbowl breakfast party in New York? The bars! If they open 2 hours before kickoff that's 8AM in New York.

Yeah it kind of does matter…
I’d say it matters less because it has always been a neutral site championship game. That said, I could never see them moving it to a crazy time zone because as Plum said, it’s all about TV here.

Honestly why would an entity such as the NFL want that for the biggest football game each year? And besides let’s just hope there is a game next year and we’re not in a war mode.

As if there isn't enough security issues with The Super Bowl anywhere it's held in the USA, let's bring the circus across the pond.

Wouldn't phase me much as I'll probably never attend one in person. It's a corporate event and TV event. If it bumps up the start time to 3 or 4pm EST so that the ridiculously long filler pregame shows can be shortened by a couple hours, that would be a win in and of itself.

Let's have it played in Shenzhen or Guangzhou, China. Everything else we love here is made there and "it doesn't make a difference", right? God bless America.

Better get used to it. All these EU games are designed to establish the market over there. Jacksonville will relocate to the UK within the next decade. Book it

Nearly 20 years ago about 40% of NFL senior leadership agreed that Roger Goodell was a c*nt and we weren't going to work for him.

I should be so prescient with lottery numbers.
