Goodell just got a contract extension for 3 years.
I'm anticipating the B1G/SEC Pro League in the future
The amateur kabuki is over and bags of money are on the horizon.

"The economic framework of Goodell's new deal is not known, but it is expected to be incentive-laden and, considering the league's financial success, the most lucrative deal ever given to any commissioner in any sport.

Goodell, whose deal was set to expire in spring 2024, reportedly earned $63.9 million annually for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons."

If I were the kind of person who was stupid enthusiastic enough to spend half a year's paycheck on a mediocre football game, I would much prefer London to....Jacksonville.
there are very few regular folks going to these games on their dime.

If won't be solo because no single team would accept 8-9 transAtlantic games.
Why not have a AFC Europe division. Move Jacksonville to London and create 3 more expansion teams in Europe. The Colts can we rejoin the AFC east, Titans to the AFC north, and Texans to the West. Now those European teams will only have to travel outside of Europe 5-6 times a year.

There used to be a thing called NFL Europe. It was, from a local fanbase / attendance perspective, wildly successful.

It was costing the League $10M a year. Roger killed it.

Did I mention that Roger is a c*nt?

IIRC while the attendance was better than expected it did not reach NFL levels. It operated as almost the equivalent of AAA baseball. Big leap to put 70,000 into the stands on a consistent basis.

Some of the venues were small - Amsterdam and Cologne played in what would basically be our equivalent of an FCS stadium.

The Barcelona Dragons played their home games in the Olympic stadium shared with Barcelona FC. They often outdrew the soccer team.

Old RU fans will get a chill when reminded that the head coach of the Dragons was Jack Bicknell. I was in Frankfurt one weekend when Rutgers was playing Boston College. Walking through the lobby before the game I saw Jack and knew it was an omen - we were going to lose. We did. I wrote an article about it for the old RutgersFan site, after the game.

My point is this - for whatever interest Europe as a whole may have in American football, that interest can easily be satisfied by recreating NFLE as a "junior league", with occasional added appearances by NFL teams a couple of times a year.

Incidentally - Jack Bicknell once told me that the best quarterback he'd ever coached was Scott Erney.

Don’t like the idea of holding the Super Bowl outside the USA. Should we hold the MLB World Series in Japan? Let’s hold March Madness in Germany. Does the UK move the British Open to pick your choice. Not everything needs to be globalistic in scope.
The nfl cares only for the $. Not you or any other fans.

Let's have it played in Shenzhen or Guangzhou, China. Everything else we love here is made there and "it doesn't make a difference", right? God bless America.
Unless Pyonyang offers more money for the rights. The Dear Leader could do the coin toss.
