The specifics of the punishment seem to be misunderstood in many replies.

From what I read, he has plea bargained to the charges and he can get UP to 2 years in Jail, that probably means about 9 months. There will be NO sexual predator / deviant list he will have to become a part of. He is also getting sued by the victim in a civil matter. I wasn't so worried about peoples punishment opinion, just if the act itself is as heinous as I think it is. I was more curious if it was a prank or a crime in peoples opinion.

So stop with the ruining of a life thing. He ruined his life by putting his nuts on a STRANGERS face.

Now I will say this, if the victim was a friend of his and they do those kind of things to each other, I probably would be on the side that it is not criminal. The problem is it is a stranger. Just like you can walk up to your wife / girlfriend and grab her *** or boob and it is nothing. If you walk up to a woman you do not know and do that, you can go to jail.

So it is interesting that a younger generation has gotten desensitized to such an egregious act.

Most people agree that it's a crime, it's just not what sane people want to be classified as a sex crime. Most people want people labeled as sex offenders if they do something that seems to indicate it's likely they will commit a sex crime in the future, like committing a sex crime. If we want to start adding to the list of crimes where where the perpetrator is functionally prevented from holding a decent job or living in a decent neighborhood for the rest of his/her life, there are much better places to start. He should be treated just like jackasses that pick a fight when their drunk. Charge him with assault and battery, give him a short or suspended sentence and probation, subject him to civil liability, and let him get back to his life at some point provided he never does it again.

Countless people in several states? What the 17 sort of life do you live? Get busy livin, I guess. Damn, I can't say I have seen countless people get teabagged. If I ever get to the point where I can't remember how many people I have seen have a nutsack dropped onto their face, I will take some time and reflect on what sort of life I have and if that really is the best way for me to live.

I'm 24 and I'm kind of mixed on this. I'm leaning more towards deserving a few month jail sentence simply because he decided to place his genitals on an intoxicated stranger. I know if someone did that to me, then they must have a death wish because I'd seriously try to 17 them up.

However, I'm mainly mixed on this because of the intent. Regardless of what people classify as a prank, the intent (to me anyways) looked as if it was obviously meant to be such. And when it comes to many things, intent tends to mean a lot to me. I know this wasn't the purpose of the topic, but I have to disagree with people saying that he should be a sex offender (even though he's not going to be on a sex offenders list).

I can see looking the guy up and whipping his ***, but it just doesn't seem rape-ish to me.

It does seem like a drunk and stupid thing done to a drunk and unconscious person in a crowd of drunk and grease-hungry fools. Like a reverse mooning from point blank range. Obviously there is something else going on or else erybody'd be getting raped up in this joint. But there is usually sexual gratification involved. It seems pretty clear that the teabagger wasn't in it for sexual gratification, he was just a dubmass that thought he was being funny. Still criminal, but shouldn't be classified as a sex crime.
