Yep these Cartels need taken out. Sure, they were created by our policies or some say directly by the CIA but just like Al Capone was created by our policies and eventually dealt with, you still have to deal with these criminal organizations at some point.
When are we going to go after the Child Porn Traffickers in the Epstein files? Ever? Epstein may have been connected to the CIA as well and most certainly a spy of some sort if not for just us, for multiple countries. Some say Israel and I would not doubt it.
Is it protection of the offender billionaires or gov't officials why they refuse to release the files? Probably both.

What's bad on the Epstein files is they left the victims names and images not redacted and openly naked as children being abused but blacked out the offenders and their names. You want to talk about brain dead and completely uncaring people in charge. I am disgusted.

Is there anything in the "files" other than vague innuendo, guilty by association or salacious claims phoned in on tip lines around election time? The old Epstein documentary laid out his propensity to take advantage of underprivileged girls for his own needs with Maxwell being the recruiter followed by lots of the former victims following suit recruiting girls. Andrew seems to be the only one outright implicated.

There were some names of potential co-conspirators released yesterday. Who really knows what the full picture is with so many redactions and millions of docs still not released?
Tom Massie and Ro Konana are heroes in my eyes. They are the few fighting to get information out. The way the Trump has acted tells me all I need to know. He is in them and it is not good.
Considering they're the only ones being implicated as having to ties to Epstein, maybe that's the approach they should be taking.
I mean, the latest dump included documentation that validated Trump's claim that he reported Epstein's behavior to the authorities in Florida and kicked him out of his club. But we all understand why that wasn't among top stories on the news. There's a narrative to protect.

To the original point of this thread, taking out the cartels is very complicated. I have done a good deal of research into this topic, and here are a few issues. First, we helped establish them. They served as the go-between us and the contras. Yes, the war on drugs guy, Ronald Reagan, is one of the biggest people to be blamed for the cartels. The second issue we have is that when you go to war with the cartels, you are going to war with Mexico. The cartels own the place. Third, you will create a power vacuum by taking them out. Taking out the current cartel network only opens the door to worse people taking their place. If you really want to take them out, we need to legalize drugs in the USA. Until we have that conversation, military action is not necessary.
There are millions of files that have not seen the light of day yet. The people currently in charge of releasing them are his people. Trump may be innocent, but why has he acted the way he has towards them since he got power back? As a parent, I know my kid is guilty when they keep trying to change the subject or move on. Trump is guilty of something; it may not be kid stuff, but the way he has acted makes it clear something is wrong.
Additional facts. Those documents say that Trump reported the behavior of his friend JE to authorities AFTER there was public knowledge of the police investigation. Interesting. "Officer, I'm so glad you are investigating my friend for sex crimes...let me tell you what I know about his sex crimes". You don't get a cookie for that.
Also conflicts with Trump's own statements in 2019 when asked about his knowledge of his friend's criminal activity. His response? "No, I had no idea. I had no idea. I haven't spoken to him in many, many years."
Do I know what the truth is? No. How could I? I am smart enough to be skeptical of everything that Trump says on this. Probably safest to assume he's lying or in self-preservation mode.

I saw some "expert" this morning, before the restrictions were lifted, who said it had to be an expected attack on the order of Pearl Harbor. They need to vet their experts a little better. I don't think the guy had anything to do with the current administration.

Virtually every politician on both sides of the aisle sat silent on this until the last year when they thought there was an opportunity to get Trump with it. They never thought it would ultimately be released, so they could treat it like his taxes: "MUH HE'S HIDING SOMETHING." Now that about 6 million documents have been released (pretty much everything that a court isn't blocking), the best they have is a couple of old photos of Trump that prove nothing and some direct implications of many democrats. It validates the common sense that you should have over this issue, which is if Trump was guilty of anything Epstein related, it would've been released under the Biden regime. But nah, we can't have that because the unverified allegation of wrongdoing is far more effective than actual proof. And a willing media will gladly help push that. Trump calls that effort a hoax and it's exactly what it is. It's no different than calling him a Nazi just for enforcing the law. It's low IQ BS.
This isn't an endorsement of Trump. He's his own worst enemy at times and there's a lot to be unhappy about with him. But all you clowns pushing the epstein thing are only showing that you're biased sheep with no agenda other than "this time maybe we've got him." Spoiler alert: you don't.

There was lawsuit from a woman who was claimed to be raped as a child by Trump in 2013. Epstein files bring some details as to why that lawsuit was dropped. Stuff in there about killing her like the last victim, buring on one of his golf courses, killing her family. So yeah, release the damn files.

No doubt. If there's anything I've learned from what has been disclosed to date is that there is a world of wealthy and powerful people that were real chummy with a known sex criminal. And real casual with how the communicated with him via email. Lots of nudge nudge wink wink.
Guy was tied up with prostitution kids back in 2008 yet folks continued to want to party and associate with him up until he went to jail the second time. We know now he never stopped. I can't believe that many of these people didn't know it. I hope those people don't get burned and learn from their poor character judgment, but I'm skeptical there are many. At best I believe many ignored it and continued to associate bc of his money and contacts - Epstein seemed to be a very transactional guy in most aspects of his life - so was his circle. At worst, they participated or actively enabled.
This transcends politics and is a story that goes back decades and multiple federal and state administrations, if not longer. There must be a long road of coverup, back scratching, and turning a blind eye. Ds, Rs, whatever. Fortunately for me, I don't have politicians or people of power and influence on a pedestal that I need to protect. Burn it down.
