Thought I saw on ESPN "while alcohol was involved He was not drunk and allowed to drive home in his own car". Sounds serious.

This stuff doesn't just start when they get to the pros. How often was he caught either drinking (which is clearly a problem for him) or having some kind of altercation with somebody while in college? Maybe even going back to HS. But, kids with his kind of talent just seem to get so much rope so they can continue to play.
Now he is really under the microscope and everybody has eyes on him.

Kid will be out of the NFL in another year or two. Than in 5 to 10 years be broke and rich mommy and daddy will come to his rescue. You don't go to rehab to learn how to limit your drinking. This was all a publicity stunt to try and repair his image with the team. Kid let success get to his head and this all comes down to his coddling from his parents. Way to go mom and dad you raised a douchebag.

Or he would be in jail for DV and DUI if he wasn't Manziel.

Disagree. According to the reports, no signs of DV..except for a mark on her arm..which a witness said was from Manziel keeping her from darting onto the roadway.

And Manziel showed zero signs of intoxication according to the report. Doubt the police would cover it up...but who knows I guess.
