Gruesome. Think McGahee vs. OSU in the '01 Fiesta Bowl type terrible.
Sucks - great kid, loads of talent, and a legit playoff shot could be down the toilet now

As for the positives, I'm hearing the family (likely w/help from the Boosters) had an insurance policy on him, so he'll get paid out
Additionally, he had a lot of NIL opportunities pre-injury, and will likely have more post-injury, so that should him financially

This is why I'm all for guys getting paid - kid suffers a freak injury vs. an FCS team and now his career is in jeopardy
Wishing JT a speedy recovery - football is such a physical sport, and these kids put their bodies on the line every week to entertain us and do what they love

These insurance policies are not a panacea. My understanding is that they generally pay out only if the injury is career ending, which relatively few are. But what if the injury is career limiting?

Not sure how it all works
Hopefully he gets some $ from it
More importantly, hoping he can come back eventually and continue his career
He has NIL deals which are lucrative and will prob get some additional as well - which is another reason I'm a fan of NIL
