at Percy Quin state park. Can anybody confirm ?

"Conflicting reports on that dam break. I just spoke with a large contractor from McComb 30 minutes ago who was called out to assess it. He's on sight now there now and does not think it's at risk to go "anytime soon", but said the rain needs to move out asap as it is stressed. They are showing 14 inches of rain so far. He said those who are predicting it will break, also have their emergency vehicles parked BELOW the dam. He has suggested they may want to move them."

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. – Residents living along the Tangipahoa River were given 90 minutes to evacuate after a potential levee break at Lake Tangipahoa was expected to allow a torrent of water south.
A mandatory evacuation was been called for areas along the Tangipahoa River from Kentwood through Robert, an area that would affect between 50,000 and60,000 people.
Tangipahoa Parish President Gordon Burgess said residents have about 90 minutes as of 10:10 a.m. before the water would reach Kentwood.
Gov. Bobby Jindal has agreed to send over busses to help with the evacuation, Burgess said.
When asked where the evacuees would be taken, Burgess said, “We don’t know yet. I just got to get them out away from the river.”
Shelters in Tangipahoa Parish have been set up at Hammond West Side Elementary, Hammond Junior High Magnet, Nesom Middle School, Amite High School, Kentwood High School and Natalbany Elementary
